52. Infanteriedivision

The 52. ID was formed in August 1939. It took part in the final attack on France with 12. army and remained in France in the area of Vesoul until Juli 1941 when it was transferred to the East. In November 1940 one third of the division was transferred to the new 339. ID. The transferred troops were replaced immediately.

Commanding General: Generaloberst Hans-Jürgen von Arnim until 5. October 1940, then Generaloberst Dr. Lothar Rendulic.
