The 1st Light Brigade (L Br 1) was subordinate to the 1st Army Corps and had as a task to cover the area South of the lake of Zurich between Thalwil (excl) and Pfäffikon on the Lake of Zurich.

As the name says, the 1st Light Brigade was a light outfit which had neither artillery or mortars and only 12 anti tank guns.
There were no units attached or detached.
